After the success of the first edition of the Good Cyber Stories animated series, we had an opportunity to create another project for next year's event.
This time we decided to create an animated teaser that could bring the viewers into the world
of cybersecurity theme, with all the advantages and threats presented in a cartoonish, animated way.
The teaser is meant to be the introduction to the whole series.
The general design is based on a sketchy style with vibrant colors, and cartoonish characters
of humans and monsters presenting various threats. The narration takes place in a vivid, abstract universe. We aimed to achieve a kind of abstract and funny theme to the project, with playful characters and sketchy style.
The animation technique is based mostly on a frame-by-frame approach.
To create interfaces that are floating freely in space, we used 3D renderings. Keeping sketchy, irregular strokes from the original illustrations were a big challenge, but we managed to include them in the final animation thanks to custom effects and combining multiple layers.
